This Is Why You Should Cover Your Mirrors at Night”

Mirrors are meant to reflect reality… or are they? Olivia never believed in the stories—until one night, her reflection stopped following her movements. That’s when the nightmare began.

Olivia was a college student pulling too many late-night study sessions. Her dorm room was dimly lit by a single desk lamp, and the only sound was the scratching of her pen against paper. On the third night, she noticed something strange—her reflection in the mirror across the room didn’t blink when she did.

At first, she laughed, blaming sleep deprivation. But when she looked again the next night, it was smiling. And she hadn’t.

Terrified, she covered the mirror with a blanket. That should have been the end of it. But as she lay in bed, the soft sound of glass cracking woke her. Not shattering—just a long, slow split, like the mirror itself was breathing.

The next morning, she cautiously pulled the blanket away. The mirror looked normal. No cracks. No reflection. Nothing.

For three days, she lived without seeing herself in any reflective surface. Windows, spoons, even her phone screen—her face was gone.

Then, on the fourth night, she woke to a movement behind her. Slowly, she turned. The mirror was glowing faintly in the dark, and a face was staring back. Not her face—something else. Its eyes were wider, darker, and filled with a hunger that made her blood run cold.

She leaned closer, heart pounding. And the reflection whispered something she couldn’t quite hear. But before she could react, the figure reached through the glass and grabbed her wrist.

Olivia screamed—but no sound came out. The last thing she saw was herself being pulled into the mirror.

Now, her reflection smiles. Waits. And she’s not alone.
